Ironic

Doesnt work. Shame as I love the CNET site. Especially love Cooley and CNET on cars. Hope youll be up and running soon? But given present performance, how can I give a positive rating for this APP?

DISTURBING LOUD OBNOXIOUS MUSIC.

HOW CAN IT BE that you are trying to view any video or article on CNET and are treated to a loud introduction of moronic loud sound from this " last fm" ad? Every time ridiculous. I would pay to get rid of that. And who In their right mind thinks that that sound would make him or her "Want to tune into that"? B B

I cant believe your app still crashes.

You must want it to be crap on an iPad.

This app just keeps getting worse and worse

Between the ads that appear on top of the text, videos that you can no longer maximize or open in the YouTube app, to browser pop-ups that switch you to Safari when opening an article, this app is becoming worthless.

Buggy

Loved this app at first, then they made it look like the CNN app- which made it load slowly so ad to incorporate a cooler look with bigger photos etc. which was annoying, and now, for the last few months the app wont even load on my 6 or 6plus. I suggest you guys go back to the original design and focus on content- not delivery, as currently you have no delivery. June-2015 App is still loading like crap, bogs down my 6 making it unusable while the app loads, only to have it crash. Seriously, lose the eye candy and ads and go back to the better format.

Useless

This app is unusable.

Useless

This app is buggy as hell suffers from performance issues and has little to offer in terms of content.

Crash

The last fm ads were already supremely irritating, now just crashes all the time. UPDATE: its been over 3 WEEKS, app still not working. Absolutely idiotic.

Too sensitive

Ive resorted to using other apps that will pull up the same news feeds but without the overly sensitive touch of ads. You cant even scroll down one page without accidentally clicking an ad. This alone completely ruins the app.

Junk!

Too many SUPER sensitive ads. Every time I scroll down it opens a ad! Also ads cause app to crash. I used to love this app.... So sad a company reporting on tech with the worst app iv seen.

Intrusive Ads

As soon as I scroll down and an Ad comes into view, it opens a video. I use this app significantly less as a result because it drives me up the wall. Not a smart move CNET.

Worst tech news app

Ive stuck around through cnets aggressive advertising schemes for a couple years now. Latest update is the last straw. Advertising now literally destroys user experience. Deleting cnet now, good riddance.

Intrusive Ads

Im not one to leave reviews but Id recommend using another news app, indefinitely.

Pure garbage.

If youre going to develop an app that has ads running as a prerequisite to reading an article Ill have to move on. Shame. Cnet was my go to tech app. I will have to go elsewhere.

Get rid of the ads

Cant scroll down without an intrusive ad opening and ruining my experience.

Enough with the ads

This app is unusable. The pop up video ads dont stop. I didnt even touch it and it restarts the ad. Its worse than watching tv. I wont be using this app until you update it to fix that annoying issue.

Dont waste my time!

Used to be my go to Tech App! I am deleting, as the the ads are completely ruining the experience. I dont mind watching a 15 sec ad prior to a video or small banners in written blogs. Pushing videos every 60 secs while I am scrolling through headlines has ruined the reason I come to this app. Goodbye forever!

Ad overload

Was usable till just recently. Scroll down and close an ad. Start reading an article and close the same ad. This is horrible!!! Cnet has suddenly dropped from "favourite" to "avoid at all costs" until fixed. Please put your audience first, not your dollar!

Stupid Ads

I understand ad banners at the bottom to get paid for what you do. But pop up ads on EVERY. SINGLE. ARTICLE. Thats a bit ridiculous. Ill just read Engadget. Thanks anyways lol

Poor effort, leave alone

Its hard to fathom why a organisation dedicated to the reporting of technology cannot make an app that works and meets the right balance of information and advertising. As mentioned the ads are intrusive but worse is the fact that most of the time the latest version shows a black screen. If this was the first time I would be willing to give them a pass but it keeps happening with successive updates. I was a fan but this no longer gets space on my iPad
