CNET: Best Tech News & Reviews App Reviews

Amazing!

Its simple easy to use I have no complaints keep up the good work!

Washing Machine Reviews?

The APP hasnt changed very much but the content has gone wildly afield with washing machine reviews (really?), cars and other consumer goods. Judging by the writers often gushing reviews a lot of manufacturers probably dont need a PR department but its somehow reassuring to know that C/NET cant seem to find a poorly designed or manufactured product anywhere. One star for content and three stars for functional APP averaged out to two stars.

Stop with the annoying pop ups

Kept demanding I enable push notifications to be reminded to look at the app daily. No I dont want to receive notifications and I dont appreciate the pop up every single time I open the app. Not to mention articles have really lost any noteworthiness since like 2014.

Stoped Working

I Have had this App for 2 years or so but for the past few months it says Article unavailable for every thing so I deleted It!

Cnet

Love everything about Cnet. Wanna know about tech and cells? Cnet is there for you.

Love CNET...but... app could be better and enough with the none tech stuff

One feature that is missing is the ability to follow certain reviewers, I would love to follow Dong Ngo just because I love router reviews and I trust his opinion. I am also unable to go to a dedicate car review section and half of the high end items I look up dont even have reviews. Also one thing that really annoys me is how CNET has tried to become a news app. Cnet listen to your audience we want TECH! Only Tech! Leave the politics and trending bullcrap on your affiliated news station because we dont care. All we want is computers, appliances, networking, cars, etc.. No twitter, politics, and other non tech related stuff and please leave the "Teens fight at school and took a video and posted it on the internet" crap off the website and app. Youre a tech site, so be a tech site.

Thanks CNET!

I used CNETs reviews in putting together my new home audio system after my 90s vintage Infinity Ovation speakers were fried by a power surge at my house. I wound up with a beautiful system built around a speaker brand recommended by CNET (ELAC) that I had never heard of, which balances terrific sound within a reasonable budget. Since then I am consulting CNET as a trusted source for lots of different gadgets, and reading the reviews just for fun. Thanks CNET!

Lovely app

All time favorite

Great app until this update

When I open app, no news articles appear...screen is just grey

CNET is awesome

Great app I learn something every time I use the app

Its great

This app keeps me up to date and educated with great info. I just downloaded it and I love it already.

Best CNET app

This app is a lot better than the other mindless zombie app you have this one gives you a choice

Violating user guidelines

The developers seem to have implemented immediately booting the user out of the application and into ads when you scroll over an ad section. Im 250% this violates user guideline policies and am not sure how the app and its sequential updates have been approved. Thats ignoring the consistent stuttering in the app when its clearly saving content....

Very laggy after iOS 10 update.

When scrolling, it becomes very choppy in animation. Does not do the same on webpage.

Crashes

The app constantly crashes on an i-Pad 3 with IOS 9.3.5. It shuts down at the opening.

This version has disply issues

This update has created a jerky refresh when scrolling through stories. Also, when reading stories on iPhone 6 the right side of text is cut off in the first section of the story.

Love the stories, but slow to scroll and choppy

Great app with fantastic stories. But slow scrolling and a choppy pixelated view make it difficult on the eyes. I had to turn it off because it was giving me a headache.

Wonderful content but flawed display

Cnet content is fantastic, but the News looks pretty bad on the big iPad Pro. Maybe you could borrow Brian Tongs big iPad to see how the News tiles look. There are big gaps between the tiles and it wont scroll unless youre on a real tile.

Best way to use CNET

UPDATE: Still my go-to for Tech News. UPDATE: Had an issue with my iPhone 6. Deleted and reinstalled. Works perfectly! Video is smooth and comments are way less clunky. Nice work! Works great on my iphone 6! The updated interface is slick and easy to use. The navigation is easy to use and find the stories Im interested in. I think this is the by far the best way to keep up on all the great tech news and information that CNET has to offer. Its really clean and simple. Nice work!

Love this app!!

Probably one of my favorite a most used apps in my collection. Frequent story updates make it fantastic.
